BBL 10: Adelaide Strikers pen three-year deal with Matt Renshaw

Renshaw

Adelaide Strikers have signed a three-year contract with Australia batsman Matt Renshaw, it was confirmed on Friday (September 11). The 2020 BBL edition kick starts at the Adelaide Oval on December 3.

Earlier this year, the Strikers traded Billy Stanlake to Melbourne Stars to get Daniel Worrall in return. Their batting line-up will now be bolstered by the addition of Renshaw, who had a phenomenal outing for Brisbane Heat last year. The southpaw fetched 348 runs at a strike-rate of 129.85 and also shone with the ball, picking six wickets across the season.

“The Adelaide Strikers have always been an impressive franchise and to be joining them for the next three years, I’m just ecstatic,” Renshaw said.

“I’m looking forward to having Adelaide Oval as my home ground, which is an oval that I know well and is also one of the best in the world.”

“Hopefully it will be possible to play in front of our home crowd at some point, as they really do make such an incredible atmosphere.”
