BAN vs AFG: T20I series – 5 players to watch out for

Bangladesh scripted an important 2-1 series victory against the Afghanistan side in the recent three-match ODIs and an exciting two-match T20I series is about to start from March 3. Both games will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur. The two teams have a lot of T20 superstars on their sides. Here are 5 players to watch out for in the T20I series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

Mohammad Naim:

Mohammad Naim is one of the upcoming young prospects from the Bangladesh side at the top of the order and he will be keen to make a mark in this series after a horrible BPL 2022 season. The left-hander has the capability to change the innings quickly and the 21-year-old has scored four fifties so far in his short T20I career.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz:

Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been a sensation for the Afghanistan side so far after coming up through the ranks in U-19 cricket and the wicketkeeper-batter scored an excellent century in the last ODI as well. The right-hander had been in decent form in PSL 2022 as well and he will be looking to get his A-game into play in the upcoming series.

Najibullah Zadran:

Afghanistan’s Najibullah Zadran

Najibullah Zadran has become one of the vital cogs in the batting line-up for Afghanistan and he is one of the hardest-hitters of the cricket ball in the game. The left-hander has had an excellent run in his last five games with three half-centuries and looks in great touch at the moment. He is likely to continue his good run of form from the ODIs.

Shoriful Islam:

Shoriful Islam is likely to set the stage on fire in international cricket as the left-arm seamer will be hard to hit with the angle taking the delivery outside the hitting zone. He has been very useful so far in the T20Is for Bangladesh and he bowled decently in all the three ODIs, picking up three wickets combinedly.

Fazalhaq Farooqi:

Fazalhaq Farooqi finished with six wickets in the three games against Bangladesh and he has looked in excellent rhythm in the ODI series. The 21-year-old has played just one T20I so far and this will be a good chance for to shine in the shortest format too.
