AUS-W vs IND-W: 2nd T20I Preview – Sides resume their rivalry after rain interruption
The 1st T20I between the Australian Women and the Indian Women was abandoned after the rain gods opened up. When the match was interrupted, the Indian scorecard read 131/4 after 15.2 overs. The Australian innings did not take place.
Jemimah Rodrigues was the top scorer of the Indian innings and scored an attacking 49* off 36 deliveries. The likes of Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh played attractive cameos as well.
Ashleigh Gardner scalped 2 wickets for the kangaroos with the ball, while Georgia Wareham and Sophie Molineux picked up one wicket each. Both sides will look to post a win in the 2nd T20I to take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

India Women: Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana will walk out to open the batting for the India Women side. Both of them got off to starts in the 1st T20I but could not convert it into a big score. Jemimah Rodriguez was outstanding and scored a superb 49*, and she will occupy the No.3 slot. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will come in at No.4, and the next two positions in the lineup will be taken by Yastika Bhatia and wicket-keeper Richa Ghosh.
All-rounders Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar will come in at No.7 and No.8 respectively. Shikha Pandey, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Renuka Singh will complete the Indian playing XI.
