AUS-W vs IND-W: 1st T20I Preview – Australia, India all set for T20I leg of the series
After an exciting one-off Day-Night Test match that resulted in a draw, India Women and Australia Women will clash against each other in a three-match T20I series. The first T20I will be played on 7th October 2021.
In their previous T20I series, the Indian Women were defeated by a margin of 1-2 by the England Women. On the other hand, the Australian Women drew their previous T20I series against the New Zealand Women. The three-match series resulted in a 1-1 scoreline, with one match abandoned due to rain.
Both India Women and Australia Women have a number of match-winners in their ranks, and this short three-match series should be an intriguing and interesting one.

India Women: Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma will open the batting. While Mandhana will be high on confidence after her century in the Pink Ball Test, Shafali Verma is a trailblazer in her own right and scored a half-century in the Pink Ball Test as well.
Harleen Deol, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh will come in at No.3, No.4 and No.5 respectively. Deepti Sharma and Shikha Pandey will occupy the next 2 slots in the line-up. The four bowlers who will take the field are Sneh Rana, Arundhati Reddy, Radha Yadav and Poonam Yadav.
Australia Women: Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney will open the batting for the kangaroos. Skipper Meg Lanning, Rachael Haynes and Ashleigh Gardner will form the middle order.
