Asia Cup 2023: Reserve day added to India-Pakistan clash
The Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023 is all set to continue with India taking on Pakistan on Sunday, September 10. The first time both sides faced each other in the ongoing tournament was on September 2, when rain played spoilsport as the game eventually washed out.
The two teams will play again on September 10 in the Super Four stage of the tournament and with the threat of rain looming over the clash once again a reserve day has been added to the contest.
With the clash between India and Pakistan rapidly approaching and rain beign forecase, with over 90 percent of precipitation, the reserve day has been added for the clash. It is also worth noting that every possible effort will be made to complete the game on the original day, however, if the same is not possible, then the reserve day be used.
Notably, rain also played a part in India’s second game against Nepal as the game was shortened, with India chasing the revised target in 23 overs to qualify for the Super Four round of the tournament.
India-Pakistan look to make amends after first washout
The clash between India and Pakistan on September 10 would be one that fans look eagerly forward to. Being one of the most high-octane games in world cricket, both sides will be keen on putting forth sensational performances and have another cracking game.
Both sides faced each other in match 3 of the Asia Cup 2023 but due to the washout, a result did not come forth. They will hope that the same will not be the case this time around.
