Ashwin backs India’s u19 star to bag huge money in IPL mega auction
Indian spin bowling legend Ravichandran Ashwin feels that U19 pace bowler Rajvardhan Hangargekar will surely be picked by one of the IPL teams when his name comes up in the IPL auctions.
Adding that Hangargekar can bowl the inswinger well, Ashwin reckons that only Ishant Sharma has been bestowed with this gift of bowling the inswinger with telling effect among the current crop of Indian pacers. Ashwin also added that Hangargekar will be sought after because of his ability to bowl inswingers.
“This player will certainly be picked at the IPL auction. Which franchise I cannot predict, but he will surely be purchased. His name is Rajvardhan Hangargekar.
He is a right-arm medium pacer, who can bowl the inswinger very well. Ishant Sharma is the only one who has the gift among present Indian right-arm pacers. Inswing can usually tuck in batters, which is why I feel he will be in demand,” said Ravichandran Ashwin while speaking on his YouTube channel.

Ravichandran Ashwin also added that Rajvardhan Hangargekar is a lower middle-order batter who can score big with the bat in hand. Adding that the power that Hangargekar generates with the bat is incredible, Ashwin concluded by stating that Hangargekar will surely attract a lot of bids in the upcoming IPL auctions.
“He is also a strong lower middle-order hitter. The power he generates when he hits the ball is incredible. He should attract at least 5-10 bids. Make sure to watch him out,” concluded Ravichandran Ashwin.
Ravichandran Ashwin was released by the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise ahead of the 2022 edition of the IPL. Ashwin is a veteran of IPL cricket and has featured in 167 IPL matches in his career.
