Ambati Rayudu’s X ray reports show no fracture, to be available for RCB clash: CSK CEO

Ambati Rayudu

The first match between CSK and MI saw the former taking away the match, despite the odd situations. Chennai saw a collapse during the powerplay when they struggled at 24/4 but what was carried up next by young Ruturaj Gaikwad was no less than magic. In between, CSK were dealt with another blow when Ambati Rayudu got hit on his elbow and left the field immediately.

However, there is a sigh of relief for CSK and Rayudu fans as his X-ray reports have come normal and he will most probably play the next game for the yellow army. While facing NZ pacer Adam Milne, Rayudu couldn’t time himself and received a blow on his elbow, and left the field in pain. As CSK play their next clash against RCB after quite a gap, the team’s CEO believes that the batsman would be fit and fine by then.

CSK CEO updates on Ambati Rayudu’s elbow

“His X-ray report showed no fracture and considering we have a few days before we play the next game against RCB. He should be available for selection,” said CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan as quoted by Lokmat.

Ruturaj Gaikwad saved the day for CSK

Talking about the game, CSK started the game on a horrible note when they lost their top order in no time. However, Gaikwad’s 88* off 58 saved the day for them as he received his fifth player of the match award in his last 13 IPL games. Gaikwad remaining stunning in the last three games of IPL 2020 wherein CSK ended on a high after having a terrible season.

“Obviously one of my top innings till now. With the pressure of early wickets and with the seniors in the dressing room, I just had to grind and get the team to 130, 140 and then 150 was possible. When Mahi Bhai is around and with the CSK management, once they back you, you don’t have to think much. The SL tour and the preparation coming here did help too. Initially, the ball was seaming and swinging so I had to take my chance against the spinners. Jaddu just came in and I had to take my chance and it came off well,” said Gaikwad after the match.
