Alyssa Healy, Natalie Sciver make massive gains in ICC Women’s ODI Rankings
The finalists of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 took a huge leap forward in the latest Women’s ODI Rankings. To start with, Australia’s opener Alyssa Healy secured the top spot in the rankings list after her prolific 170 (138) against England in the finals. She replaced South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and jumped four spots to lead the ranking.
Healy was the top scorer in the tournament as she ended her campaign with a whopping 509 runs, the most by any player in a Women’s World Cup event. She was also adjudged as the Player of the Match in the finals as well as the Player of the Tournament.
The top-10 list of batters now includes four Australians, with Healy on top, Beth Mooney at No. 3, skipper Meg Lanning at No. 5, and Rachael Haynes, the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament, jumping one spot up to No. 6. All four of them had a great time at the World Cup, and they all played a major role in Australia’s win.
