Aiden Markram names AB de Villiers as his favorite batter
South Africa and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Aiden Markram has named the late Shane Warne as a bowler he would have loved to face from the past. On being asked about his favourite batter, the stylish right-hander picked former South African skipper and batting legend AB de Villiers.
In a 1:29 minute video uploaded by the official Twitter handle of SRH, the South African batter answered several other questions during a rapid-fire round with his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise SRH. Markram also named his teammates Washington Sundar and T Natarajan as the nicest guys in the Orange Army camp.

The 27-year-old also said that he would have pursued a career in safari or travel guide had he not been a cricketer. The right-handed batter also stated that he could never imagine himself working as an accountant or any other office job.
Markram, who has stitched some valuable partnerships with his national teammate Quinton de Kock, named him the funniest teammate in the South Africa squad. When asked the same question for the Orange Army camp, Markram named West Indies’ ODI and T20I skipper Nicholas Pooran. Markram named Marco Jansen as a teammate who is most likely to miss a bus.
The Proteas star also reckons senior Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is a student who did really well in school. “Maybe Bhuvi, he seems very clever,” said Markram in the video. When asked about his favorite actor, the 27-year-old named prominent American actor Adam Sandler and Cape Town as his favorite city.
Talking about Markram’s performance in IPL, the stylish batter played some excellent knocks for the Orange Army in the recently concluded edition. The right-handed batter has so far played a total of 20 matches and has already scored 527 runs at an excellent average of 40.54. The right-handed batter has stroked three fifties and has also grabbed a wicket in his IPL career so far.
