AB de Villiers, Siraj congratulate Virat Kohli ahead of 200th IPL matc
The 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been resumed and all eight teams would be determined to shine in UAE. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is one of the teams to watch out for in the second leg as they enjoyed a gala time earlier in the competition. With five wins in seven games, RCB were third in the team standings at the time of season suspension.
Meanwhile, RCB will resume their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday (September 20). Notably, the game is set to witness history as Virat Kohli will mark his 200th game in IPL. While four more players have reached the feat so far, the RCB skipper will become the first player to represent one franchise in 200 IPL matches.
As the talismanic batter gears up to play the milestone match, he received congratulatory wishes and messages from fellow RCB members. In a video shared on the franchise’s official Twitter handle, the likes of AB de Villiers and Mike Hesson can be seen hailing Kohli and his contribution to the Bangalore-based franchise.

“Congratulations Virat Bhai, 200 games for the same franchise. It shows loyalty and commitment to RCB. You always play for the team, you are incredibly selfless,” said head coach Mike Hesson.
“Many youngsters like me follow you. Keep motivating them. The way you gym, the way is really inspiring. So, continue doing that. All the best” were Mohammed Siraj’s words.

Many other teammates like Glenn Maxwell and Yuzvendra Chahal also congratulated Kohli and the star cricketer would be raring to make the occasion special. For the unversed, RCB need just three wins in their seven league-stage games to secure a place in the playoffs without any hassle. Hence, a victory in the upcoming game would bring them one step to a spot in the final four.
