Dinesh Karthik acknowledges ‘World Cup year’ memes
India & Royal Challenger Bengaluru batter Dinesh Karthik has become the talk of the town recently after he propelled Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a thrilling victory against Punjab Kings in the sixth game of the IPL 2024. Bengaluru aimed to chase down a total of 178 runs and found themselves in a fix.
After Virat Kohli’s knock of 77 runs, the rest of the batters could not amount to much. It was Dinesh Karthik scoring 28* runs in 10 deliveries that helped Bengaluru register their first win of the season. It is also worth noting that Karthik scored 38* runs in 26 deliveries, in the season opener of the tournament against Chennai Super Kings.

Taking to X, Karthik posted a picture of himself laughing at people discussing his chances in the T20 World Cup 2024. “Me seeing those ‘It’s a world cup year’ memes,” Karthik captioned the post.
