Yuvraj Singh predicts Man of the Series for 2019 World Cup
After lighting up the 22 yards for a long time, Indian batting legend Yuvraj Singh is dazzling Twitter with his takes. The 37-year old, retired from international cricket a month ago, shared his views on India’s victory Bangladesh yesterday (2nd July) at Edgbaston. Yuvraj heaped praises on the centurion and his IPL captain, Rohit Sharma. The left-hander was also impressed by Rishabh Pant.
Rohit Sharma scored his fourth century in the ongoing World Cup. His knock of 104 helped Team India post a daunting total which secured the 28-run win. The victory also confirmed India’s place in the semi-finals. This was India’s sixth win in the competition and they currently occupy the second place on the points table.

Impressed by Rohit’s innings, Yuvraj foresaw him taking the Man of the series trophy in this World Cup. Here’s what the former Indian batsman tweeted –
And @ImRo45 walks closer to the Icc mos trophy ? ???? #hitman you beauty ? no 4 ☝?☝?☝?☝? well played champion !!!

With 544 runs in seven matches, Rohit currently leads the tournament run tally. He also became the second Indian batsman to cross the 500-run mark in the competition after Sachin Tendulkar. The opener has already scored four centuries in this World Cup and another three-digit score should help him clinch the prestigious award.
Yuvraj had predicted the same two weeks ago as well.
Chatting to Rohit at ipl time ! Discussion about getting starts but not getting big runs , and I was like you don’t know what lies ahead of you it’s happening for a reason ! Same words told to me by @sachin_rt before 2011 wcup , my mos of 2019 prediction from india @ImRo45

England’s former batsman and one of the commentators for the ongoing World Cup, Kevin Pietersen sent a cheeky reply to Yuvraj’s tweet, saying “Not if England wins the WC, Pie-Chucker!” However, the Indian legend replied with an even amusing answer.
Let’s qualify first and then talk about wining ? and I’m talking about mos trophy not winning !

Hosts England are still to confirm their spot in the semi-finals. A win over New Zealand on 3rd July should take them through while a loss will take their fate out of their hands.
Number four has been India’s most discussed long-running problem. The side began with KL Rahul at that position. However, injury to Shikhar Dhawan disrupted India’s plan. Vijay Shankar, whom the team management sent at number four, also got injured. India then called up Rishabh Pant who made his World Cup debut. Yuvraj believes Pant is India’s number four for the future.
I think finally we have found our no 4 batsman for the future ! Let’s groom him properly yeah ! @RishabPant777

Pant was impressive in his brief knock of 41-ball 48. The wicketkeeper-batsman was out just before started taking a toll on the Bangladeshi bowlers.
India will be taking on Sri Lanka in their last group game of the tournament on 6th July (Saturday) at Leeds.
