IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants Retained & Released players
The trade and retention deadline for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 ended on November 26.
Ever since their inception in 2022, one team that has seen a rise to the top has been Lucknow Super Giants. Led by KL Rahul, the side has managed to make it to the knockout stages of the tournament in 2022 and in 2023 as well. As the 17th season of the IPL approaches, Lucknow will be keen on putting in similar performances and potentially going all the way to clinch their first IPL title.
Finishing in third place in IPL 2023, LSG missed out on making it into the summit clash of the competition, and with some potential new signings, the side will hope that their luck will turn around. Recently, the franchise made major headlines as they were involved in a trade with the inaugural champions, Rajasthan Royals. They sent out pacer Avesh Khan to Rajasthan and brought in star Indian batter Devdutt Padikkal in exchange for the pacer.
It was confirmed that the side will be retaining the services of skipper KL Rahul and he would definitely be a key player in the side’s quest to their first IPL title.
