Orange is the new blue! Team India’s World Cup away jersey revealed
The Indian cricket team is all set to don an orange and blue coloured jersey in Sunday’s World Cup match against England at Edgbaston. Social media went abuzz with pictures of the new jersey being circulated on Friday evening.
Nike India, the official apparel sponsor of the Indian cricket team has reportedly revealed pictures of the new kit. Teams with similar coloured jerseys in this World Cup were required to choose a second set so as to avoid clashing with their opponent team. Since both India and England wear jerseys dominated by shades of blue and England are the hosts, the former will be switching to the new look for Sunday’s clash.

This is the first World Cup match in which India will be sporting their away jersey. The Men in Blue (now orange) are unbeaten in the tournament and will face a stern test against a bruised England side. A win in Birmingham will seal India’s spot in the semi-finals. Australia is the only team so far to have qualified for the knockouts.
