Current India skipper Rohit Sharma smashed an unbeaten 171 off 163 with the help of 13 fours and seven maximums against the Kangaroos in Perth in 2016. In the first of the five-match ODI series, team India batted first and posted a huge total of 309/3 on the board courtesy of Rohit’s special knock. Though the visitors lost the contest by five wickets, Rohit played an outstanding innings at the WACA ground.
2. Sachin Tendulkar (175)
Former batter Sachin Tendulkar is in the second spot in this chart. The batting maestro hammered 175 off 141 with 19 fours and four sixes in one of the most thrilling encounters in 2009. In the fifth of the seven-match series, the tourists batted first and posted a mammoth total of 350/4 on the board in Hyderabad. Opening the innings, Tendulkar kept his side in the hunt of the run-chase right till the end before getting dismissed in the 48th over. With the seven-match series level at 2-2, both sides clashed in the decider and Rohit showcased his beast mode. The opener slammed 12 fours and 16 towering sixes as India posted 383/6 on the board eventually winning the game by 57 runs and series 3-2.
