Ravindra Jadeja reflects on IND vs PAK clash in Asia Cup 2023
With the Asia Cup 2023 looming around the corner, every fan will have their sights set on the much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan. The marquee event is all set to begin on August 30, and the game between India and Pakistan will be played on September 2.
With both sides all set to take on each other, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja came forward to express the side’s anticipation for their match against Pakistan. Sitting down for an interview, Jadeja opined that while there is equal pressure on both India and Pakistan, every match that features India holds equal importance for every player.
“When there’s a match between India and Pakistan, there are high expectations to win, but for us, any match involving India holds the same level of importance as an India-Pakistan match. However, yes, the India-Pakistan match garners more attention, and we strive to perform to the best of our abilities,” Jadeja said in an interview with Star Sports.
We aim to deliver our performance and play as well as we can: Jadeja
Furthermore, Jadeja opined that while the Indian team wants to win every game, it is important to accept that the outcomes will not always go their way. He opined that both sides play to win and that there is never a guarantee of a positive outcome in any match.
“We aim to deliver our performance and play as well as we can, but sometimes things don’t go as planned. This is a game, and the players from both sides are representing their respective countries. In my opinion, both teams are in the game to win. While you can put in proper focus and give your 100% on the field, there’s no guarantee of a particular outcome,” Jadeja said.
“You can give your best effort and play to win, but at the end of the day, if the result doesn’t go your way, there’s nothing much you can do. The main thing is to give your all and play to win,” he added.
