Baba Aparajith fumes at umpire after controversial LBW decision in club match

Tamil Nadu cricketer Baba Aparajith was left frustrated after the on-field umpire gave him out in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Cricket Association Division 1. Notably, the incident occurred in the 18th over of the match between Jolly Rovers CC and Young Stars Cricket Club. Aparajith tried to defend Hari Nishaanth’s delivery but it turned square and hit his pad while the fielder at short leg dived straight to catch the ball.

The fielding team appealed immediately and the umpire was convinced and eventually raised his finger to signal out. That’s when the cricketer lost his calm and got involved in a spat with the umpire and opponent team members. Meanwhile, replays showed that the ball did not hit his bat and it was going outside leg when it hit the pads. Thus, Aparajith was extremely unhappy with the decision. He had a long argument with the umpire before eventually walking back to the dressing room.

He was also part of the Indian squad that won the U19 World Cup in 2012 in Australia. Aparajith played a crucial role in the tournament by scoring 171 runs and helping India win the competition.

Meanwhile, the cricketer was part of Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL. He never managed to make his debut in the tournament. Aparajith played 60 matches in the shortest format of the game, scoring 1139 runs at a strike rate of 109.51. However, when it comes to the longest format of the game, Aparajith has been a force to reckon with, being one of the most dependable players in the squad. The Chennai born cricketer has brought multiple laurels to the Tamil Nadu team.
