3) 290 – Courtney Walsh
Former Windies cricketer Courtney Walsh was undoubtedly one of the best of his generation. Asserting his dominance at home, Walsh was just as effective in foreign conditions. Over the course of his career, Walsh took a whopping 290 away wickets in Test cricket. Furthermore, Walsh represented the West Indies in 132 Tests, where he overall took 519 wickets at an economy of 2.53.
2) 307 – Mutthiah Muralitharan
The legendary Muthiah Muralitharan sits in second place in the list of players with the most Test wickets away from home. Muralitharan was feared by batters across the globe, and with his tally of 307 away Test wickets, Muralitharan earned the fame he had. In the 133 Tests that he played for Sri Lanka, Muthiah Muralitharan took a whopping 800 wickets at an economy 2.47 and is revered as an all-time great.

Widely revered as one of the greatest spinners in the history of cricket, the late and great Shane Warne occupies the number one spot in the list. With 362 away Test wickets, Warne solidified himself as one of Australia’s aces in his prime. Warne took 708 wickets at an economy of 2.65 in 145 Tests for the Aussies.
