Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir fined 100 percent of their match fees

The IPL Match Referee has fined Lucknow Super Giants’ Mentor Gautam Gambhir 100 percent of his match fee. He breached the IPL Code of Conduct during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Gambhir admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct. Bangalore batter Virat Kohli has also been fined 100 percent of his match fee for breaching the Code of Conduct.

The IPL Match Referee imposed a fine of 50 percent of the match fees on Naveen-ul-Haq, the bowler of Lucknow Super Giants, for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Naveen-ul-Haq admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
