The two sides faced each other in their most recent game, where Delhi emerged victorious and claimed their second victory of the tournament, thereby handing Hyderabad their fourth consecutive defeat.
Their recent encounter was a low-scoring thriller at Hyderabad, which the David Warner-led side won by seven runs in the final over. Delhi took a big decision by benching Prithvi Shaw and bringing Phil Salt into the combination as the opening batter. But their top-order struggle continued as the English cricketer was dismissed for a duck. Nevertheless, they managed to post a decent total of 144/9.
Hyderabad started off their chase well and were well in contention to win the game, but a mini-collapse in the middle overs led to the hosts losing their momentum in the game. The game went down the wire and went till the final over, but Mukesh Sharma managed to restrict the SRH batters and won the game for Delhi. While Delhi would be hoping to repeat similar heroics, Hyderabad would be aiming to bounce back to winning ways.
