According to reports, recently retired Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh has reached out to the BCCI to seek permission to play in the various foreign T20 leagues. Yuvraj announced his retirement from international and first-class cricket in a recently held press conference in Mumbai.

A report in PTI has now claimed that the all-rounder would like to explore the challenges of playing in the various T20 tournaments around the world, which would require approval from the BCCI.

Yuvraj had hinted at the possibility of playing in other countries in the conference, saying as quoted by Cricbuzz:

“I want to play T20 cricket. At this age I can manage to play some kind of fun cricket. I want to go and enjoy my life. It’s been too stressful just thinking about my international career, performing and big tournaments like the IPL.”

The chances of Yuvraj getting permission from the BCCI remain high as he has already retired from international and domestic cricket. The BCCI had previously allowed Zaheer Khan and Virender Sehwag to participate in the T10 League in the UAE as they were retired cricketers.

Recently, Irfan Pathan also tried to seek a NOC from the BCCI to play in the CPL, going as far as enlisting his name in the draft, despite not retiring from the game at the first-class level.
