WATCH: Spectator expresses elation after finding match ball
In a rather hilarious incident that happened on Day 2 of the ongoing Ahmedabad Test, a spectator sitting right next to the sight screen was seen having a gala time as he held the match ball in his hand after it was hit for a six by Shubman Gill.
The rib-tickling incident happened on the second delivery of the tenth over (of India’s batting innings) when Gill launched Aussie off spinner Nathan Lyon down the ground for a six. The ball had got lost for a moment behind the sight screen and that’s when a spectator jumped in and retrieved it.
He was rightfully elated and the sheer delight of grabbing the match ball was there for everyone to see on his face. He raised both his arms in joy and then tossed it on ground. The play got held up for a while because of the same.
