MS Dhoni’s video of driving tractor takes internet by storm
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a household name in India and his fandom in and around the country is massive. The Ranchi-born cricketer was the national team’s captain for a decade and won India all three major ICC titles. His success both as captain of India as well as the Chennai Super Kings makes him one of the best captains of his generation.
The right-handed batter posted a video on Instagram of him driving a tractor and plowing his farm in Ranchi. The post’s caption read, “Nice to learn something new but took way too long to finish the work.”
The post sent social media into a frenzy, just like any picture or video of the former captain. Former Indian cricketer Munaf Patel commented on the post by saying “I know to farm, when you need me please let me know.” Indian team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja posted a hilarious comment which said, “No number plate.”
The post received a lot of love and has got more than 25 lakh views, 13 lakh likes and 37000 comments. Dhoni has only 108 posts on Instagram but has 40 million followers. The most liked post is the one in which he announced his retirement from International cricket.
At the beginning of IPL 2022, Dhoni, who had led CSK from the competition’s inception in 2008, stepped down as captain and handed the reins to Ravindra Jadeja.
Jadeja was forced to leave the competition midway due to a rib injury, so the choice backfired, and after a string of defeats, Dhoni took over as captain yet again. Dhoni will participate in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which may possibly be his final outing in the biggest T20 league.
