IND vs BAN: 3rd ODI Preview – Injury-plagued India hope to avoid whitewash
India and Bangladesh will be locking horns in the dead rubber third One Day International at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday, December 10. The Men in Blue must win this match at all cost in order to salvage pride and they need to do it without their captain Rohit Sharma who has been ruled out due to a thumb injury.
Apart from Rohit, injuries to Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Sen have also put India in a spot of bother and they need to overcome all odds in order to bag a consolation win against a Bangladesh unit that has thoroughly challenged the visitors in the last two games.
Now, a spirited home team led by Litton Das in the absence of Tamim Iqbal would be hoping to register a memorable clean sweep. While Bangladesh’s bowling has been good, their top-order batting must come good in this match.
Pitch and Conditions:
The Chattogram wicket has been a very good batting surface where teams have gone on to post colossal totals in the past. The pitch is expected to get slow and low and the spinners can turn out to be very lethal as the contest progresses which is why the team winning the toss would look to put runs on the board.
Venue details: Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram
