3. Alex Hales- 1940 runs

The proficient opening batter Alex Hales is third on the list with a total of 1940 runs under his belt. Though he was out of the international setup for a long time recently, not many have been able to come close to his record. Hales recently made a comeback into the team and has powered the English batting unit with his power-hitting at the top.

2. Eoin Morgan- 2458 runs

Former England captain, who led the team to a victory in the recent edition of the 2019 ODI World Cup, is ranked second. He was on top of the list till October 31, 2022, before England faced New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2022 Super-12 fixture. Morgan, who led the side before announcing his retirement earlier this year, finished with 2458 runs in the shortest format.

1. Jos Buttler- 2496 runs

The current England skipper Jos Buttler tops the list with 2468 runs under his name. At the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, when England faced New Zealand on November 01 in their group stage match, Buttler scored a magnificent 47-ball 73, which helped him surpass Morgan and take the top spot. As a result, Buttler became the leading run-scorer in T20Is for England.
