India cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy gets engaged to Ranji cricketer Arjun Hoysala

India Women’s cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy has got engaged to Karnataka cricketer Arjun Hoysala and the duo announced their engagement on Instagram in a picture. The social media post from Krishnamurthy showed a hilly region where Arjun Hoysala was bending down on his knees to propose to Veda Krishnamurthy with an engagement ring.

Krishnamurthy was left awestruck with the proposal and the moment was captured quite well. Popular cricketers like R Samarth who also hails from Karnataka congratulated the duo in the comment’s section and the image vent viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Arjun is a left-handed opening batter who made his first-class debut for Karnataka in 2016 and has been playing the state T20 tournaments including the Karnataka Premier League. The 32-year-old played for the Shivamogga Lions in the 2019 Karnataka Premier League and has been a consistent run scorer at the top of the order.

Although, his Ranji Trophy debut did not go as he would have liked to, Arjun is a promising cricketer who still has a long way to go in his career.

Here’s the engagement post on Instagram from Arjun Hoysala:

Krishnamurthy, 29, made her international debut at a very young age of 18, and she has also played 48 ODIs and 76 T20 internationals for her country. Primarily, a middle order batter, Krishnamurthy also bowled leg spin which brought her three international wickets.

Krishnamurthy has ten half centuries in international cricket with the highest score of 71, and last played an international game in 2020 against Australia Women in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. She averages 25.9 in ODI cricket which is not bad for a middle order batter and has played some important knocks during her prime. The right hander is currently not part of the Indian white-ball setup with a lot more youngsters in the side at the moment.
