Most T20I wins since T20 World Cup 2021

The 2021 T20 World Cup saw Australia get their hands on the prestigious for the first time in their history as they ran out victors against arch-rivals New Zealand in the final of the competition. But since the conclusion of the tournament, the recently crowned champions have featured in just eight T20Is, winning six and losing two. Meanwhile, other teams have upped their preparations and are engaged in a lot more games than the Aussies.

Here are the teams with the most T20I wins since the T20 WC last year.

New Zealand – seven wins in ten matches

The finalist of the 2021 T20 World Cup, New Zealand are currently on one of the hottest streaks in white-ball cricket and have won seven consecutive T20Is on the trot. Their only blemish came against India in the 3-0 drubbing against the hosts in the after match of the ICC event in November last year. The Kiwis have introduced some fresh faces to the T20I squad and are looking mighty impressive for the showcase event later this year.

Zimbabwe – nine wins in 16 matches

Zimbabwe are one of the surprise packages in this list as the African side have registered nine wins in 16 matches so far since the T20 WC last year. They recently completed a historic T20I series victory against Bangladesh following their triumph in the T20 WC qualifiers, which means they will be one of the participants in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

India – 19 wins in 24 watches

India suffered a disappointing campaign in last year’s World Cup as they failed to reach the knockout stages of the tournament, despite being one of the favourites. Virat Kohli relinquished his captaincy duties post the disappointing tournament. Rohit Sharma took over the reins, and since his appointment, India has been the team to beat in the format, with 19 wins in 24 matches, making them one of the heavy favourites for the ICC event in Australia later this year.
