IND vs SA: 3rd T20I Preview – Series on line as India aim for a comeback
Nothing seems to be working for hosts India as they have lost the first two T20Is against the visitors South Africa, who managed to beat India during the second T20I match thanks to a batting masterclass from the wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klassen. Klassen played exceptionally well against both spin and pace and took his side out from a tricky position and eventually won the match for Proteas.
South Africa’s bowling line-up also stepped up to the task and bowled with discipline during the second T20I. However, the visitor’s top order was cleaned by the senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, which can be a bit of a worry for South Africa. Indian batters Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have been among the runs and will like to continue their good form with the bat.
The pitch at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam can be friendly for batters. However, the spinners have also received help from the wickets provided at Visakhapatnam. Skipper winning the toss might want to bowl first and chase down the total later.
Here’s the probable XI for IND vs SA:
India
Team India might want to add a bit more firing power in the bowling department. The likes of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik can be given a chance considering the Indian spinners have not bowled well in the series so far.
Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel/Arhsdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar
South Africa
For South Africa, the Proteas side is likely to field the same playing Xi after winning the second T20I. Senior batter Quinton de Kock might replace Reeza Hendricks if he recovers from his hand injury.
