There have been several batters who have performed excellently in women’s ODIs and have scored tons of runs. These batters have worked very hard to hone their skills and gave their best to their respective countries for quite a long time. Their performance with the bat has led their teams to several memorable wins and some of them continue to do it even now. On that note, let us take a look at the three batters with the most runs in ODI cricket.
3. Stafanie Taylor (5298 runs)
West Indies senior batter and skipper Stafanie Taylor comes third in this elite list after scoring a total of 5298 runs in just 145 matches. The right-handed batter has an excellent average of 44.15 and has the highest score of 171 runs in the 50-over format. She has also stroked 37 fifties and seven hundred for her national team and will look to continue her good performance with the bat ahead as well.
2. Charlotte Edwards (5992 runs)
England veteran batter Charlotte Edwards had an excellent career for the Three Lions. Edwards played a total of 191 ODIs and amassed 5992 runs at a decent average of 38.16. She also stroked nine centuries and 46 half-centuries during her career. Her highest score was 173 runs and she also led the England team for around ten years or so.
1. Mithali Raj (7805 runs)
Indian legend and veteran batter Mithali Raj comes first in this elite list of players. The right-handed batter represented the Women in Blue in 232 ODI matches and scored 7805 runs at an excellent average of 50.68. The 39-year-old also stroked 64 fifties and seven hundred for team India and her highest score was 125*. Mithali recently announced her retirement from all forms of international cricket and will be always remembered as one of the greats to represent India at the highest level.
