IPL 2022: MI vs DC Review – Delhi let their playoffs spot slip
Mumbai Indians have knocked out Delhi Capitals in the race for the playoffs of IPL 2022 with a five-wicket victory in Match 69 of IPL 2022. Earlier in the game, Delhi Capitals was put into bat first by the Mumbai Indians and the Rishabh Pant led side were under a lot of pressure after losing three wickets for just 31 runs inside the powerplay. Rishabh Pant (39) and Rowman Powell (43) steadied the show with a handy partnership for the fifth wicket while Axar Patel’s 19 off 10 balls provided a better finish for Delhi to end up on 159.
Skipper Rohit Sharma perished early in the run chase while Ishan Kishan (48) and Dewald Brevis (37) struck an excellent partnership for the second wicket.
However, Mumbai did face some hiccups with set batters Kishan and Brevis dismissed, but Tim David changed the course of the game with a stunning 11 ball 34. Tilak Varma (21) provided good support while Ramandeep Singh got the side over the line.

Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for the Mumbai Indians and he bowled an amazing spell in the powerplay including the two big wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Prithvi Shaw. The speedster was on the money with his lengths and lines and finished with 3 for 25 in his four-over spell. He certainly looked in excellent rhythm and it will be a huge plus for the Indian side as well.
Tim David
Tim David played a game-changing innings which helped his Mumbai Indians to victory in the end and he certainly has been making a big statement for the next IPL seasons. The right-hander hit four sixes and two fours in his 11-ball 34 and ripped apart the bowling attack of the Delhi Capitals.

Mumbai Indians have ended their campaign for the IPL 2022 as the wooden spoon holders at the last place in the points table while Delhi Capitals have finished fifth in the points table after the loss to be knocked out of the race for the playoffs.
