Suryakumar Yadav shares a message after getting ruled out of IPL 2022

Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav has vowed to make a strong comeback after getting ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The right-handed batter, who was in sensational form this season, suffered a forearm muscle injury and the same became the reason for his ouster. This news came as a massive blow for MI, who have been enduring a hard time in the competition and are aiming to end on a high.

As per the release issued by the official website of IPL, the 31-year-old sustained the injury during MI’s thrilling five-run win over Gujarat Titans at the Brabourne Stadium on May 6. The right-handed batter has been a prolific performer for MI since 2018 and was instrumental in their title triumph in 2019 and 2020. He was among the runs this season as well but an injury has ruled him out of the competition.

I will be cheering for MI the other side: Suryakumar Yadav

Notably, the swashbuckling batter was among MI’s four retained players ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. He certainly did a fine job, scoring 303 runs in eight games with his average and strike rate being 40 and 140 respectively. It must be noted that Suryakumar also missed MI’s first few games this season due to fitness issues.

Coming to MI’s campaign this season, the five-time champions have lost nine of their first 11 and are the only team so far to have been knocked out of the playoff race. Hence, they have nothing but pride to play for in their remaining fixtures.
