IPL 2022: RCB vs CSK Review – Bangalore crush Chennai’s hopes
Chennai Super Kings have joined Mumbai Indians as the second team in IPL 2022 to be knocked out of the race for the playoffs after their loss against RCB in Match 49 of IPL 2022. The MS Dhoni-led side had a competitive target to chase down and they did get off to a good start, with the opening pair of Devon Conway (56) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (28). However, wickets fell consistently in the middle overs and it turned the game in RCB’s favour.
Earlier, RCB were put first by CSK and they got off to a decent start with Faf du Plessis going after the bowling while Virat Kohli took his time initially. Maxwell was unfortunate to be dismissed by a runout and it was down to the pair of Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik to take the side to a good score. The duo finished off brilliantly to take the score to 173 in 20 overs.
Top Performers of the game
