IPL 2022: KKR vs RR Preview – Beleaguered Kolkata seek success against Rajasthan
After losing their previous matches, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the Rajasthan Royals in a group stage encounter of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 to be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 2 (Monday). To note, both teams have already played each other once in the current edition and the Royals won that contest by a decent margin.
While RR are placed second in the points table with just three losses in nine matches, the Men in Purple are having a hard time in IPL 2022, having won just three matches in their nine encounters. As a result, KKR are currently placed on the 8th spot in the points table. To note, both KKR and RR have lost their previous matches and will want to make a strong comeback by winning the next match.
Here’s the predicted XI of Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals:
Kolkata Knight Riders
It must have been a tough pill to swallow for KKR, as they lost their previous match by a margin of four wickets. KKR put up a good fight against the Delhi Capitals in their previous match and will want to stick with the same playing XI.
Aaron Finch, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Baba Indrajith (wk), Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, Harshit Rana
Rajasthan Royals
Just like KKR, RR also gave a tough fight to the five-time champions in their previous match. Rajasthan has been very consistent with their performance in the tournament so far and will want to stick with the same playing XI which is doing well for them.
