IPL 2022: GT vs SRH Preview – Two bowling-heavy giants collide
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will face off against each other in a reverse fixture on Wednesday (April 27) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. SRH emerged victorious in the previous face-off earlier in the season and the Titans will be keen on pulling one back on Kane Williamson and his troops.
This is a clash to become the table-toppers as well with both teams sitting comfortably in the top three. While the Gujarat Titans have won six out of seven matches and are currently in the second position, SRH are at the third place with five wins from seven outings. Interestingly, the Orange Army is on a five-match winning streak and will be keen on continuing with it.

Team Combinations
Gujarat Titans
Gujarat Titans have been on one of the best sides in the IPL 2022. They have lost only one game so far and there is no reason for them to change their winning combination. There could be a temptation to play Rahmanulaah Gurbaz at the top at the expense of Alzarri Joseph. But Hardik Pandya’s fitness continues to remain a concern as he didn’t bowl in the previous game.
Probable XI: Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (C), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Abhinav Manohar, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Mohammed Shami.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Things have fallen exactly in place for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last five matches. Their bowling is their strength and the batting line-up has just about done the job with the likes of Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma shining when needed. Kane Williamson hasn’t been at his best but has marshalled his troops really well.
They are unlikely to make any changes to their XI unless there are last-minute injuries. There is no update on Washington Sundar’s fitness but his replacement Jagadeesha Suchith has also done an excellent job.
Probable XI: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (C), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (WK), Shashank Singh, Jagadeesha Suchith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan
