IPL 2022: Jos Buttler names one rule that should be included in the tournament
England and Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Jos Buttler said that if he was the captain of a side with Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in it, he will not let the veteran spinner to run-out any batter at the non-striker’s end. The English batter also expressed his views about one rule that should be included in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The 31-year-old has said that if one of the teams is slow in terms of their over rate, then one extra fielder should be brought inside the 30-yard circle to give some advantage to the batting team.
The explosive batter is currently leading the scoring sheets in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) plundering 491 runs in just seven matches including three centuries.

In a conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, Buttler was asked about one rule from other T20 leagues that he would like to see in IPL, to which he replied, “If you are slow in your overs one of the extra fielders has to come in the (30-yard) circle.”
In another question, He was asked if he will allow Ashwin to Mankad a batter if he was captaining the side, to which Buttler straightforwardly replied, ‘No’. Then the interviewer asked him whether Ashwin will comply with his orders, to which Buttler smiled a bit and said ‘No’.
Meanwhile, RR, on the back of Buttler’s century, beat Delhi Capitals to climb to the top of the points table. The right-handed batter was at his extreme best, smashing 116 runs in just 65 balls, hammering nine fours and an equal number of maximums in his destructive innings against Rishabh Pant and men. RR have now won five of their seven matches so far, and are tied on points with Gujarat Titans (second) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (third) in the tally.
