IPL 2022: MI vs CSK Preview – IPL giants search for a comeback
The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next group stage encounter. The match will be played at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on April 21 (Thursday). To note, both teams are coming to the contest after losing their previous matches.
While CSK lost their match against new entrants Gujarat Titans, MI was handed defeat at the hands of another new team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). CSK has lost their previous encounters against GT, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, LSG, and Kolkata Knight Riders. The Yellow Army has somehow managed to defeat RCB in their only win of the tournament so far and are placed in the ninth spot in the points table.
The five-time champions, on other hand, have lost their all previous six matches against, LSG, PBKS, RCB, KKR, RR, and DC. As a result, they are languishing right at the bottom of the points table.
