IPL 2022: CSK vs GT Review – David Miller blasts Chennai away
Gujarat Titans pulled off a nail-biting thriller against the Chennai Super Kings and maintained their top position in the points table with five wins in six games now. Chasing 170, Gujarat lost four early wickets and were reeling at 48 for 4 at one stage. However, it was the David ‘Killer’ Miller show in the ground as the South African smashed an unbeaten 94 to take his home alongside a handy contribution from the stand-in skipper Rashid Khan as well.
Earlier, Gujarat won the toss and chose to bowl without the services of regular captain Hardik Pandya for the game. Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali were dismissed early but Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu formed a partnership of 92 for the third wicket and provided the impetus for the lower order to finish on a high. Ravindra Jadeja’s quickfire innings of 22 off just 12 balls took CSK near the 170-run mark.
