3 uncapped players with the most runs in IPL
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a platform where players show their talent and skill. Many players from the past and the present have made it to the national side by performing exceedingly well in the cash-rich league. Still, there are some batters who scored plenty of runs but still couldn’t quite make it to the national team.
Let’s take a look at the 3 uncapped players with the most runs in the history of IPL:
3.Manvinder Bisla (798)
Manvinder Bisla won the Player of the Match award for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2012 final. He smashed 89 runs to win the maiden title for his side. The wicketkeeper-batter played 39 IPL matches and amassed 798 runs at an average of 21.00 and a strike rate of 113.67. He struck four fifties with the highest score of 92. Bisla was also part of a title-winning squad with Deccan Chargers in 2009 and then represented KKR, Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
2.Manan Vohra (1054)
The 28-years old right-handed batter Manan Vohra has scored the second-most runs by an uncapped player in the IPL. In 53 matches and 49 innings, Vohra amassed 1054 runs at an average of 22.42 and a strike rate of 130.60. The impressive batter slammed three half-centuries in the league with the highest score of 95. Vohra debuted for PBKS in the 2013 season and was then bought by RCB in the 2018 auction and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in December 2018 ahead of the 2019 season.
1.Rahul Tripathi (1556)
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) player Rahul Tripathi holds the record for scoring the most runs by an uncapped player. In 67 matches and 65 innings, the right-handed batter has scored 1556 runs at an average of 27.78 and a strike rate of 139.92. Tripathi has smashed eight half-centuries in the league with the best score of 93. One of the most underrated batters in the IPL, Tripathi has represented the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants, RR and also KKR in his career.
