A bowler has to be at its best to contain the runs in this exciting and enthralling format. Though many have suffered the wrath of the batting team by going for plenty in a four-over spell in T20 cricket.

Sithembile Langa, Barry McCarthy, Dan Hutchinson, and Sreenath Aravind all these four bowlers have leaked 69 runs with no wickets in their respective four-over spells. Langa’s disastrous spell came while playing for the Warriors against the Lions in CSA T20 Challenge final in 2019. McCarthy conceded the runs for Ireland against Afghanistan in a T20I in 2017. Hutchinson’s spell came for Wellington against Otago in HRV Twenty20 competition in 2014 and Aravind’s overs came for Royal Challengers Bangalore against South Australia in the Champions League in 2011.

Thampi went wicketless for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2018. Mathieson also didn’t take any wicket for Central Districts against Auckland in Georgie Pie Super Smash in 2015. Martin went wicketless for the Leeward Islands against Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean T20 in 2012.

He conceded 81 runs for no wickets in four overs for Sialkot Stallions against Lahore Lions in a T20 match in Faisalabad in 2011. He gave away ten fours and four sixes at an economy rate of 20.25.
