IPL 2022: RR vs LSG Review – Rajasthan emerge victorious after a close shave
Rajasthan Royals managed to scamper through with a victory over the Lucknow Super Giants in Match 20 of IPL 2022. The Sanju Samson-led side managed to defend the total of 165 by three runs despite the scare from Marcus Stoinis towards the end of the innings. Lucknow lost a lot of early wickets as Trent Boult bowled an amazing delivery to get through the defences of KL Rahul and it started the downfall for LSG.
Earlier, the Royals were put in to bat first by Rahul, and the franchise struggled at the 10th over mark with four wickets gone already. However, Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten half-century supported by R Ashwin from the other end helped the side to a good total on the board.

Yuzvendra Chahal continued his impressive run with the ball and bowled a game-changing spell for his side. The leg spinner picked up 4 for 41 in his four overs and found breakthroughs at crucial moments to help his side get a hold of the game. He moved to the top of the purple cap race as a result of his consistent wicket-taking abilities.
Shimron Hetmyer
Shimron Hetmyer played a gem of an innings for the Rajasthan Royals when his team was in disarray at 67 for 4. The left-hander remained unbeaten on 59 off just 36 deliveries and helped his side post a decent total of 165 on the board. He capitalised on the final overs after getting set at the crease and hit six sixes in his superlative knock.

Rajasthan Royals will next take on the Gujarat Titans at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on 14th of April while the Lucknow Super Giants will head into the Brabourne Stadium for their next game against the Mumbai Indians on 16th of April.
