Winning matches in cricket whether it is international or franchise cricket is really important. A team always looks to make it a habit to clinch the games. No team likes to lose in any sport. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), there have been teams who have achieved a winning streak and they hold the record for most straight wins. In the history of IPL, these teams have registered their names with the most wins on the trot.

1.Kolkata Knight Riders (10)
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is the team with the most consecutive wins in the history of IPL. They have recorded ten straight victories between the 2014 and 2015 seasons. In the 2014 edition, KKR suffered badly when they lost five of the first seven matches. But their winning streak then began as they won the remaining seven league matches with victories in the qualifier one and the big final as well. They won their first match of the 2015 season but lost the next to put an end to their streak.
2.Punjab Kings (8)
Punjab Kings (formerly known as Kings XI Punjab) won the last three matches in 2013 IPL and the first five games of the 2014 season to achieve the feat of eight consecutive wins. They had a dream run in the UAE leg of IPL 2014 where they won all the five matches played. Their streak ended when they played the first match of the Indian leg as they went on to reach the finals that season only to lose to KKR.
3.Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings (7)
The inconsistent RCB side has managed seven wins in a row in the IPL. They registered this feat in the 2011 season when their streak started with their sixth match in the league stage. The team then won seven games on the bounce. RCB reached the finals of that season as well but lost to CSK in the summit clash. CSK themselves have seven straight victories to their name. They got to this milestone in the 2013 season when they tasted success on seven occasions on the trot. They defeated KKR twice in that period. The team reached the finals but lost to MI.
