IPL 2022: RR – 3 Players to watch out for

Rajasthan Royals have made some wise inclusions into their squad for the 2022 season and are no longer the overseas-contingent dependent side. The franchise is better placed with the appointment of Kumar Sangakkara as the director and they lost a close encounter in the previous edition despite playing well for most part of the game. With the tournament ready to kick off in a week, here are 3 players to watch out for in the Rajasthan Royals:

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson recently had a good outing for India in the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka and he will be eager to take his franchise to the glory stages by leading from the front. The 27-year-old is still in the scheme of things for the T20 World Cup 2022 and some handy knocks for his side will help his inclusion for the big tournament.

Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt Padikkal might not be able to get his opening position at the Rajasthan Royals with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler likely to open. The left-hander made his international debut last year in Sri Lanka but has fallen out of the radar after that. However, he will have a different role to play at number three for the Rajasthan Royals and will be one of the players to watch out for.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 6.5 crore in the mega auction and he will have a big role to play for the franchise. With a lot of IPL and as well international experience under his belt, Chahal will pair up with R Ashwin as the spin duo for RR and he can change games on his own very quickly. The leg-spinner has been in excellent form in recent times for India and will be looking to continue the impressive run.
