Ravindra Jadeja single-handedly destroyed Sri Lanka in the first Test match in Mohali to script a massive win for India by an innings and 222 runs. Continuing from his batting form, Jadeja took five wickets for 41 runs in the first innings and fours scalps for 46 runs in the second to demolish the Lankan Lions. He became the third Indian after Vinoo Mankad and Polly Umrigar to score over 150 runs and snare five wickets in the same Test match.

2 – R Ashwin surpassed Kapil Dev’s tally of 434 wickets and is now the second-highest wicket-taker for India in Tests with 436 scalps.
