5. India vs Sri Lanka (2009)
In December 2009, India and Sri Lanka faced each other in the first of the five-match ODI series in Rajkot. The visitors won the toss and opted to field first. Virender Sehwag played a breathtaking inning of 146 off 102 balls while Sachin Tendulkar and skipper MS Dhoni struck fifties too as India posted a mammoth 414/7. In the run-chase, Tilakaratne Dilshan scored 160 off 124. Kumar Sangakkara amassed 90 but Sri Lanka managed 411 and fell agonizingly short by just three runs.
4. India vs West Indies (2011)
In December 2011, India hosted West Indies in an ODI in Indore, and Virender Sehwag became the second Indian to smash a double century as he scored 219 runs with India posting 418/5 having batted first. West Indies could manage only 265 runs in reply as India won the clash by 153 runs. A total of 683 runs were scored from both sides on a flat Holkar Stadium pitch.
3. Jharkhand vs Madhya Pradesh (2021)
In Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021, Jharkhand scored a staggering 422/9 in 50 overs against Madhya Pradesh in Indore. Ishan Kishan struck a scintillating 173 whereas Virat Singh, Sumit Kumar, and Anukul Roy all amassed fifties. In reply, Madhya Pradesh got bundled out for just 98 runs with Varun Aaron snaring six scalps. 520 runs were scored in total on the day which witnessed a one-sided affair.

The highest innings score was recorded by Mumbai against Puducherry in the Vijay Hazare trophy in 2021 in Jaipur where they scored an enormous 457/4. Prithvi Shaw struck 227 and Suryakumar Yadav 133 as Mumbai won the match by 233 runs. Puducherry scored only 224 in an aggregate match of 681 runs from both teams.
