IPL 2022 mega auction: 5 biggest gainers
The recently-concluded IPL 2022 mega auction saw a lot of experienced, as well as uncapped players, earn phenomenally well as all 10 franchises built their respective squads ahead of the upcoming edition of the marquee tournament.

IPL 2022: Here are the biggest gainers at the mega auction
Deepak Chahar: Deepak Chahar once again came back to the Chennai Super Kings at the IPL 2022 mega auction for a staggering INR 14 crore. CSK had no hesitation in breaking the bank while aggressively bidding to have him back. The bowling all-rounder, who was bought for INR 80 lakh at the IPL 2018 player auction, now has a gain of INR 13.20 crore.
Liam Livingstone: Liam Livingstone has been roped in by the Punjab Kings for a whopping INR 11.50 crore at the two-day event in Bengaluru last week. The 2014 finalists successfully outbid everyone to have the English all-rounder on board. Livingstone, who was bought by the Rajasthan Royals last season for INR 75 lakh, has gained INR 10.75 crore this time around.
Harshal Patel: Last year’s Purple Cap winner would once again be making an impact for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB secured his services for INR 10.75 crore. Patel was offered INR 20 lakh by Bangalore last season which means he has earned INR 10.55 crore more.
Wanindu Hasaranga: The Sri Lankan spinner has been roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 10.75 crore for the upcoming season. Hasaranga was named Australian leggie Adam Zampa’s replacement for INR 50 lakh in IPL 2021. Thus, he has got a pay rise of INR 10.25 crore.
Prasidh Krishna: Prasidh Krishna has been bought by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 10 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction. He was released by Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR had roped in the pace sensation for INR 20 lakh in 2018 which means that the youngster has got a pay rise of INR 9.80 crore.
