Ajinkya Rahane has managed to play just 2 matches in IPL 2021
On the cricketing front, Ajinkya Rahane has not managed to find a regular spot in the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) side. The right-hander got the chance to take the field for the Delhi outfit only twice in the tournament. While he did not get a chance to bat in the match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side, Rahane scored a run-a-ball 8 against Rajasthan Royals (RR). After that, Rahane has been overlooked.
Rahane is a veteran of IPL cricket. He has featured in 151 IPL matches and has plundered close to 4000 runs in the IPL at an average of 31.53 and at a strike rate of 121.34. He has also scored 2 hundreds and 28 fifties in his IPL career.
The Delhi Capitals have been in scintillating form in the 2021 edition of the IPL. The Rishabh Pant led side has won 5 out of the 7 matches that they have played in the tournament and are comfortably placed at 2nd place in the IPL points table.
The Delhi Capitals outfit will next take on the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side on 2nd May 2021.
