IPL 2021: MI vs RR Preview – Mumbai, Rajasthan seek a winning start at fresh venue
Mumbai Indians, despite winning five IPL titles, don’t have as good a record as some would hope them to have against Rajasthan Royals. In 22 matches between these two teams thus far, Mumbai have won 11 while Rajasthan too have won 11. When these two teams meet in the IPL 2021, both the teams will be looking to get one over another.
Rajasthan Royals are coming into this game with two wins from five matches on their back, a record which includes their win against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last match. Mumbai Indians, who are returning to action after almost a week, have won two matches and lost three in this tournament. Considering how Mumbai picks up their performances midway through the season, Rajasthan would be wary of the threat they are up against.

Team News:
Mumbai Indians: With the change in venue, the plans of the Mumbai Indians is also expected to change a bit. Jayant Yadav, who played in the last two matches to negate the left-handed batsmen in the opposition, might find himself on the bench. There is a chance that MI could go back to Adam Milne. It should also be noted that MI played with only three overseas players in the previous two matches. Nathan Coulter Nile is another option waiting in the reins of the Mumbai Indians. The rest of the combination is unlikely to be tinkered with.
Rajasthan Royals: Rajasthan Royals would be happy to have got a win before they ended their Mumbai leg. Now with that confidence, they would be looking to get a few more points in Delhi. They had Jos Buttler, David Miller, Mustafizur Rahman and Chris Morris in the previous match and Sanju Samson should continue with this combination. Andrew Tye and Liam Livingstone have both gone back home, which ironically leaves Rajasthan with four of their best overseas players in the mix. They should also continue with Jaydev Unadkat ahead of Shreyas Gopal for this match at least.
