Sheldon Jackson donates to Gautam Gambhir Foundation for fight against COVID-19
The 14th edition of the IPL is currently in progress with teams and officials in a bio-bubble and strict protocols in place. However, India is witnessing a more infectious second wave of COVID-19 which has wreaked havoc in the country. In a delicate situation like this, cricketers, past and present, are now coming forward to help the country.
It all started with KKR bowler Pat Cummins donating $ 50,000 to the PM CARES Fund specifically for supplying oxygen cylinders to those in need. Inspired by Cummins, former Aussie pacer Brett Lee also donated 1 Bitcoin to Crypto Relief for oxygen supplies in the country.
Now another KKR cricketer Sheldon Jackson has come forward to help the country fight against the pandemic. Jackson has donated an undisclosed amount to the Gautam Gambhir Foundation and has praised them for helping the needy and suffering people during these tough times. He released a statement on his official social handle while urging everyone to donate whatever amount possible and help India recover from the pandemic.
