Narine shares an adorable picture of his son with the KKRs’ jersey

Narine

Back on February 1, 2021, Sunil Narine, the West Indies cricketer, became the father of a baby boy with partner Anjellia. It was back in December 2020 when the couple announced that Anjellia is set to embrace motherhood. Narine is currently busy playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In two matches, Narine has scored 10 runs and picked up one wicket at an economy rate of 6.75. In the meantime, Narine shared an adorable picture of his son on Instagram. In the picture, his son, Silas’ name can be seen at the back of a Knight Riders’ jersey.

He captioned the picture and wrote, “Future KKR Player in The Making.” Later, the official Instagram handle of the Knights replied to the post writing that Narine’s son was looking good in KKR colours.

Back when Silas was born, Narine uploaded a picture of his baby boy and was over the moon after becoming a father.

He wrote, “You fill a place in our heart that we never knew was empty, we have seen all of God’s goodness and grace in one tiny face. We love you unconditionally -Dad & Mom.”

Agarkar, Sehwag opines on Sunil Narine

On Saturday, KKR lost to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by six wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Shubman Gill’s failures at the top have given rise to questions on whether KKR should change their lineup or not. Former speedster Ajit Agarkar feels that KKR shouldn’t alter their opening combination for the time being.

Not yet needed (Narine on top. They (KKR) have got really two good players (on top). Narine can be the floater, which he always is for them,” Agarkar was quoted as saying on ESPNcricinfo.

Virender Sehwag, another former Indian cricketer, said that either Narine or Rahul Tripathi can be promoted to open the batting, giving Shubman Gill enough time to get his eyes in.

I suggest that KKR put him at one end and push Nitish Rana at 4 and open with Sunil Narine or Rahul Tripathi who can cash in on the powerplay for Shubman Gill. Because if Shubman Gill can play out the first six overs he can easily hit boundaries,” Sehwag told on Cricbuzz.
