Former Hyderabad pacer Ashwin Yadav dies after suffering cardiac arrest

Former pacer of Hyderabad, Ashwin Yadav collapsed to death after suffering a severe cardiac arrest on Saturday. The pacer was only 33-year-old and left behind his wife and three sons. Talking about the career of the pacer, Yadav was part of 14 first-class matches and picked 34 wickets under his belt. He marked his Ranji debut in the year 2007 against the Punjab team in Mohali.

Yadav was seen at his all-time best when he scalped six wickets after conceding just 52 runs against the Delhi team in the 2008-09 season at Uppal stadium. He plied his trade for the last time in Ranji Trophy in 2009 against Mumbai. After leaving behind his Ranji career, the pacer continued to play in the local leagues for banks like State Bank of Hyderabad and also State Bank of India.

Ashwin Yadav was part of two T20 games and 10 List A matches

The 33-year-old former Hyderabad pacer also showed up in 10 List A matches and two T20 games. In the line of tragic events, India’s current fielding coach R Sridhar consoled his death and stated how jovial and a fun-loving person he was. Sridhar also prayed for strength to his family in his latest tweet.

 

Various state cricketers and Yadav’s teammates stepped up to pay respect to the departed soul. Off-spinner Vishal Sharma who was a teammate of Ashwin Yadav added that Yadav was a friendly person who always wore a smile on his face. He also added that it is quite hard for him to believe that his teammate is no more.

He was a team man and played in the local leagues. I just can’t believe he is dead,” Sharma tweeted for the pacer.
